Check out Calvin Harris’ new video for “Faking It” featuring Lil Yachty & Kehlani.
It’s safe to say Calvin Harris is having himself another banner year. From being revealed as Forbes’ highest earning DJ of the year (making $48.5 million) to dropping off a star-studded album back in June called Funk Wav Volume 1, the Swedish DJ & producer has plenty reasons to celebrate right now. Hell, he even just last week he revealed that the album has gone gold, and that a couple singles off it have recently achieved platinum status. “Funk Wav just went gold, Slide just went 2x platinum, My Way just went platinum, Feels just went platinum thank you thank you thank you,” he tweeted out last week.
Looking to promote the album even further, Calvin Harris decides to come through today & roll out another video in its support. After hitting us with visuals for “Cash Out,” “Feels” & “Hard To Love,” the Swedish producer & DJ returns to the scene today to share his newest video offering “Faking It,” featuring Lil Yachty & Kehlani, which he’s been promoting all week long on his IG.
Speaking to Zane Lowe about the making of the video, Kehlani had this to say about it… “It was really fun. I think getting to see what the emotion that you say in a song see it conveyed, Cause you know every art to me that I can’t do is really interesting and I wish I was able to be like that creative, So seeing all this people in their own element, whether it be style wise, or glam or directing, set-building. Its really just a giant project by a bunch of different artists getting to do exactly what there good at at one thing.” she added. “Im really excited Im honored. Not only have I been watching Calvin Harris for ever, but he’s a good friend of mine by now so Im just honored to be apart of it.”
The video surfaces just weeks after both Kehlani & Lil Yachty dropped off new songs of their own. Kehlani released a new single called “Touch” earlier this month, whereas Yachty teamed up with Nessly for the song “Guacamole” just last week.
